Freda Young De Garmo

Freda Young was born on January 7, 1903. Her parents were Anna Jane Bodine and John Frank Young. Freda Young later marries Fredric De Garmo. The first photo of Freda Young is her standing outside during the winter of 1931 in Mahwah NJ. You can see how she is dressed even though the picture is little blurry. She is in what seems to be light clothing for the winter time which makes me assume that it is the end of the winter. There is very little snow so you can see it is becoming the spring time. In this picture Freda is about 28 years old. In the second photo of Freda Young you can see she is reading the newspaper while sitting on a couch. She is in about her 40's and you can tell the picture was taken closer to when colored pictures became known. Her clothing is a little less modest and she seems more relaxed. She is showing a little more skin then in the previous picture and you can see she has aged. This picture was taken around the 1960’s due to the fact that it was closer to when pictures had color instead of black and white. The last picture I have is one of her license which was issued to her in 1987. You can see how she has changed throughout the three pictures on clothing, looks, and where she resided in the Mahwah area. Freda was one of the longest living children of Anna and Frank until she died at the age of 93 on January 8, 1996, Freda Young De Garmo passes away in Rockland, New York.
